This is my latest on-going art project. I say “on-going” because it has been taking up precious kitchen counter space for the past few weeks and I have been adding to it when I feel inspired or have the time. My kitchen island is not exactly an ideal art studio but it does the job…even if my projects may get the occasional spaghetti sauce splatter or Oreo crumb on them from time to time. That adds to the eclectic feel, right?
My girls also love to sneak things onto my canvases of crazy. For instance, that blue button in the top left corner was the creativity of a certain little 8 year-old that shall remain nameless. Keeping my girls from not touching this was like trying to keep ants away from a picnic. Absolutely impossible. But I think that adds to the beauty of it. It isn’t finished yet but it’s the kind of art that may never truly be complete – especially if my girls keep gluing crap on it. It was much-needed therapy this month and I just wanted to share it with you.
