Pollock Heart

You threw paint on my canvas
Splattering colors that didn’t belong
Ruining the painting of me

A beautiful disaster
The making of a mess

Jackson Pollock
in the flesh–

nerves heart and sinew
displayed in an array
of blood-red and deep-blue

And once you were satisfied
with the arrangement —
you casually walked away

without a single look
in my direction

My art upstaged
By the monster painter
